The ANZAC Day Dawn Service at The Cenotaph in Sydney’s Martin Place begins at 4.30am. Thousands gather in the pre-dawn darkness to honour fallen soldiers so get there early.
The dawn service includes a catafalque contingent, an Ode of Remembrance, Last Post bugle call, a minute’s silence, a Reveille played on a bugle and the laying of wreaths.
Attracting around 20,000 people, the North Bondi RSL Sub Branch Dawn Service starts at 6am at North Bondi RSL, by the sand at 118-120 Ramsgate Ave, North Bondi. Assemble at memorial by 5:45am for the 6am start.
Over 10,000 people are expected at the biggest ANZAC Day service on the Northern Beaches peninsula. There is a Dawn Service at 5.30am at Ted Jackson Reserve, Dee Why Beach. Head back to Dee Why RSL for breakfast.
There is a Dawn Service at 5.15am at the ANZAC Obelisk, Moore Park, at the corner of Anzac Parade and Moore Park Road.
There is a Dawn Service at 4.30 am at Braesmere Rd & Anderson Ave, Panania (Edwards Reserve). Following the Dawn Service, breakfast will be available at Panania Diggers, 28 Childs St, Panania for a cost of $5.00.
There is a Dawn Service at 5.45 am at the War Memorial, Monro Park, Cronulla.
There is a Dawn Service at 5.45 am at Charles Harper Park, Parkes Street, Helensburgh.
There is a Dawn Service at 6.30am at Burwood War Memorial Arch, Burwood Park, cnr Park St & Burwood Rd, opposite Westfield Shopping Complex.
There is a Dawn Service at 5.15am at Bert Crook Memorial, Canterbury-Hurlstone Park RSL, 20-26 Canterbury Road, Hurlstone Park.
There is a Dawn Service at 6am at the Cenotaph in Forest Park, Epping, off Blaxland Road.
There is a Dawn Service at 5:30am at Lower Cenotaph at Pittwater RSL Club, 82 Mona Vale Rd, Mona Vale.
There is a Dawn Service at 5.30am at Forestville RSL Cenotaph, 22 Melwood Avenue, Forestville, followed by a hot breakfast at Forestville RSL Bistro.
There is a Dawn Service at 5.30am at Manly Dam War Memorial Park, Manly Vale.
ANZAC Day Marches
The March will commence at 9am at Elizabeth Street and Martin Place. Participants will march south along Elizabeth Street. They will observe the Act of Remembrance on the command “eyes left” as marchers pass the Anzac Memorial in Hyde Park, then wheel left into Liverpool Street for dispersal at 1pm.
There is a march starting at 7am from Bellevue St, Kogarah, proceeding via English St to the Cenotaph on the corner of Park and English Streets.
There is a march starting at 6.45am from Kingsgrove Road & Shaw Street, Kingsgrove, proceeding via Edwards Street to Kingsgrove RSL Club Cenotaph, Brocklehurst Lane, Kingsgrove.
There is a march at 7.30am starting at 1-9 Gray Street Bondi Junction and proceeding along Bronte Road, Oxford Street and Bondi Road.
There is a march at 6am starting in Church St, beside Woodstock Park and proceeding down Burwood Rd to the War Memorial Arch in Burwood Park, cnr Park St & Burwood Rd, opposite Westfield Shopping Complex.
The ANZAC Commemoration Service is held at the ANZAC Memorial, Hyde Park, adjacent to the Pool of Reflection, commencing at 12.30pm and finishing at 2.30pm.
This service has developed into an impressive dedication, attended by the Governor of New South Wales, Premier of New South Wales, Leader of the Opposition, senior service representatives, invited guests and members of the community.
In recent years a United Drumhead Service has been introduced. This year support will be provided by cadets from The Scots College, the NSW Police Concert Band accompanied by the Sydney Welsh Choir.
There is a service at 7.15am at the Cenotaph at the corner of Park and English Streets (next to Jubilee Stadium).
There is a service at 7.00am at the Kingsgrove RSL Club Cenotaph, Brocklehurst Lane, Kingsgrove.
There is a service at 7.45am at Waverley Park Cenotaph.
There is a service at 8am at Harbord Diggers, Lumsdaine Drive, Freshwater, with march, wreath laying ceremony and performances.
There is a service at 11am at Manly War Memorial, The Corso, Manly. Located outside Manly Town Hall, opposite Manly Wharf.
The ANZAC Day Sunset Service will start at the Cenotaph, Martin Place at 5pm and finish at 6pm.
This ceremony will be a short service accompanied by the NSW Ambulance Service Band and followed by the lowering of the flags.
The Sunset Service is at 5pm at Collaroy Beach and The Beach Club, Collaroy.
