This post is ut of date, please go to the FULL REVIEW of the Fairmont Resort here.
Hello! Here’s some news about the Fairmont Resort in the Blue Mountains. I’m keen to get up some posts that readers will find useful, newsy items as well as keeping up my reviews of places I have stayed in myself.
Now I don’t think I’ve ever stayed in the Fairmont, certainly not in the past 20 years. But it sure looks like a place that would work well for my family.
Have you stayed there?
The Fairmont was refurbished in 2012, and it’s been to my to-visit list ever since. Must get there, I know my husband and kids would enjoy a stay, especially playing golf at Leura golf club
I’d most definitely go for the family suites if we visited, plus a room of their own for the teens.
But it’s the twins who would benefit most from some new additions to the Kidzone area, check out the new mirror maze.
There isn’t a kids club as such at the Fairmont, so parents do need to supervise, but the list of activities is great:
· Fairmont Express & Merry-Go-Round
· Tennis Courts & Outdoor Maze
· Games Room – Mirror Maze Arcade, Kids Magic Kingdom with jungle gym and Wii consoles for kids aged 5 to 12 years, Dane’s Room with games and toys for kids aged 0 to 5 years.
· Library & Board Games
· Indoor & Outdoor Pool
· Segways for Kids
· Junior Golf
· Jamison’s Family Dining – during school holidays only
In school holidays there are plenty of activities on offer. Here’s what is planned for next week.
The Fairmont Resort Blue Mountains is owned by The Schwartz Family Group, and managed by Accor as one of their MGallery collection of high end hotels. Jerry and Debbie Schwartz bought the hotel in memory of the birth of their first son, Dane – that’s why it has such a strong family focus.
A ‘City Experience’ package is now available which includes a night’s accommodation, full buffet breakfast at Jamison’s Restaurant and a family pass for two adults and two kids to Scenic World, home of the steepest incline railway in the world. Rates start from $329 per package and conditions apply.
For reservations, contact 02 4785 0000 or visit www.fairmontresort.com.au
So, there you go, seems like a top spot.
Look out for more newsy items coming to the blog.
