Hello from the far, far, very far, north of Scotland. We’ve come up to see my sisters and all the cousins for a few days.

We’re off to the playground at the beach this arvo, it’s a VERY long way from Collaroy on Sydney’s Northern Beaches where this lovely baby shop is. The wet/dry bag that’s been given as a prize is a really handy things to have. Good luck!

Flowerchild baby shop

I’ve found a baby shop that’s so cute and handy and sweet and interesting, that it’s almost enough to make me wish I had a baby again.

But not quite!  Can’t wait to be a granny though.

Love these freezer pods and squeezies, wish they’d been around when I had tiny ones.

Flower Child is in Collaroy on Sydney’s beautiful Northern Beaches, with a new store coming soon in Glebe.

Address is:  Shop 2, 2 Fielding St, Collaroy (behind the IGA) – just across the road from beautiful Collaroy Beach.

There’s also a very busy and popular online store.

There are so many cloth nappies to choose from, and the staff in the shop can give your baby a personal nappy fitting.

We were sent a Planetwise Wet/Dry Waterproof bag which we’ve been using for several weeks now.

These are so pretty, but forget that, they’re super practical.  You can put your wet stuff in the bag after swimming or, even better, put your dry stuff in the bag and not worry that wet towels will make it wet.

For example, I have popped my iPad and purse into the wet/dry waterproof bag and then thrown that into a huge beach bag full of wet stuff – no worries.

The wet/dry bags come in medium, which we used, or a large size which is big enough for cossies, towels, googles, the lot.  You can also use it for sweaty gym kit, yukky nappies, as a chilly bag… the possibilities are endless.

Here’s wee Minnie the Minx with out wet/dry bag, we used it ALL THE TIME on holiday in Bali,

Good luck!

Here’s to cute babies, and lovely things for babies that are both sustainable and sweet.

What a wonderful shop! Oddly enough, my husband brought up the idea of baby no. 3 just last night… As for the bag – o pretty as! And a wet bag has so many uses – but I’d definitely use if for swimming lessons and beach trips, and as back up on trips to feed the ducks…which always seem to involve muddy clothes! And then there are the toilet training mishaps…

Given I just lost my watch and ring on the beach at Byron Bay while travelling (MAJOR bummer) I would use the bag to keep stuff life phones, jewellery, keys etc dry while at the beach. I seriously want to win this bag.
Great give away and beautiful looking store.
    Happy holidays Seana!

Thanks Leanne, that’s a shocker about watch and ring, too easy to lose stuff at the beach though. I’m still looking for a seahorse earring every time I go to Balmoral, have been looking for 9 years!!

I think I’d use it for swim bag for my 2 girls, that way I’d get to show it off at the pool

What a wonderful shop for babies and kids stuff! I would use the bag for all things precious – phone, camera, jewellery etc when we go on our beach trips!!!

Yes, it’d work really well for that. Keeps everything safe and dry.

What a divine shop. I’ll have to run and check it up next time I’m in the Northern Beaches. My wee miss would look so cute in those dresses. x

My daughter would use this wonderful bag for swimming lessons, they are so cool and unique that she would be able to pick her bag out from the 30 bags of her classmates.

I would use it to hold my soggy wet clothes after a hard drenching from the Sydney rain!

Wet – it’s so hard to find a stylish waterproof bag

What a great versatile bag – we’d mostly use it for wet !(swimming lessons, beach and so on) – plastic bags tend to make us look very unorganised that’s for sure!

I love the concept of these bags. I haven’t invested in one yet – but maybe this is my day to win one!!!
We would have many uses for one of these bags. My girls love to pick up treasures as they are on their travels, special rocks, feathers – they all end up in my handbag. This could be their very own special treasure bag when out and about.
My son does swimming lessons but of course doesn’t want to take a bag – “that’s not cool Mum”. So his money, watch, iPhone (if I haven’t smuggled it off him) all get thrown down on his towel for all insundry to help themselves. Maybe this would be a great way to keep those things together and hidden out of view. Maybe I could get the most lairiest, girlish design I could find- just to erk him. ‘Oh Horrible Mother ‘I hear you all say!!! LOL.

Mr 18 months and I are just about to start mum and bub swimming lessons at our local indoor pool so these would be perfect to keep our wet stuff separate from our dry stuff after our lessons.

The wetbag would be great for trips to the creek and for when we are travelling/camping and don’t have time to get wet clothes dry before packing up to leave!

3 swimming girls here with 2 still in nappies- cloth too!

That bag would have such a long life and go to a loving home xxx

I need a pretty bag for my stinky gym clothes!! Can’t believe I hadn’t subscribed to your blog!!!

  • Reply May 2, 2013

Love these bags! I like to take my camera everywhere with me but often leave it behind when going to the beach or pool for fear of it getting wet. Would love one of these bags so i could capture even more gorgeous memories.
Would also be great for taking to the footy for camera, phone, wallet etc. It has a bad habit of raining everytime i go!
Would be great for putting swimmers in too after swim school etc. so everything else in the schoolbag doesn’t end up wet. So many great uses!

Definatey dry – love the idea that the ipad and other items can be carried in the same larger bag as the wet good – brilliant idea!

Wet AND dry! I just read the information contained in the link and it explained that the wet items can be kept in the middle section and the dry in the outer pocket. Just perfect!! This bag would be so handy for when we travel overseas soon- great for the long trip! In the outer pocket I would put a clean bib, nappy and wipes and the inner pocket can be ready for the wet nappies etc. I love that this would make me prepared- with the necessities on hand straight away. When we get to our destination I would use it as a beech bag. Precious items in the outside pocket (dry) and wet items separated after swimming in the inner pocket. Super!!

I would prob use this one for swimming lessons! It’s a good size and I like the handle! Or for when we go camping in caravan park to take to the showers!

I think I’d use it for dry, keeping my ipad safe and sound. I tend to be very overprotective of my lovely ipad, I can’t afford to replace it. I was only looking for wet bags recently and couldn’t find any nice ones.

I would probably use it for wet. Putting wet nappies, swimmers in.

But it would also come in very handy for myself. I wear running shoes to work and then have to change into dress shoes once i get there. A bag like this would be great for chucking my shoes in so the other stuff in my bag didn’t get dirty (and to stop the smell from spreading haha)
