Shhh…. don’t tell everyone about this Hyams Beach Cafe…. just the people you love best.
This is one of my very favourite fave cafes at Jervis Bay. Hyams Beach Store and Cafe is a glorious little spot and it is the only cafe at beautiful famous-for-its-white-sand Hyams Beach.
Now, I must admit that I much prefer coming here without the four boisterous bairns in tow. For a start, it’s much cheaper to visit just with one or two and a lovely friend.
And so much more civilised!

Open: Mon – Sun: 8:00 am – 3pm
Hyams Beach Store and Cafe serves breakfast and lunches, plus there is takeaway and a shop.
When my children were little, we always would come for coffees and ice blocks after a swim and play at dazzling Hymans Beach. We’d sit at the tables on the deck at the front of the building and not cause any chaos or mayhem to the diners inside.
It’s lovely these days to walk through the shop and go upstairs to the tables to enjoy the wonderful views over the Bay. And the grub is lovely. With coffee of course. (See menus on the website.)
There are high chairs for children, and plenty of suitable food options. There’s no children’s menu as such however you can ask for a child’s portion of some of the dishes.
And before or after, a play on the whitest sands in the world is a must. The beach is just a short potter away, down the road and turn left.
There’s a path that goes all the way from Huskisson and Vincentia to Hyams Beach, the White Sands Walk, past some stunning beaches and through gorgeous bush. Walking that is the ideal way to build up an appetite for breakfast or lunch at Hyams Beach Cafe.
However, you’re on holidays so why not just drive!!

Ahh… how I wish I were back there right now, hanging out with my old mate Kate, from Huskisson’s most child-friendly B + B, the very pretty Huskisson Bed and Breakfast.
How long away are the next holidays anyway?
