Jervis Bay Family Fun – White Sands Park Playground, Huskisson

This playground must be a contender in the playspaces with the best waterviews stakes.

The vistas over Jervis Bay are glorious.

And the equipment is pretty good too.

Coffee and icecream are just a hop, skip and a jump away.

Lets get going, see you there in a minute!

Look at all that blue water. You might even see a dolphin swimming by.

The gigantic climbing frame is the piece de resistance of course.

Kids also like playing in the holey walls around it.

There are swings to swing on.

Plenty of space for a game of footy or cricket.

Parking: Parking spaces all around the park, plus a carpark by the pub on Owen Street.

Toilets: Good toilets in the park.

Coffee: Ask for a takeaway at Bluebottles Seafood Restaurant by the motel, corner Bowen Street.

Extra: Fantastic little beach called Sharknet Beach is just down a path by the park. Great biketracks lead from this park all along the seafront to Vincentia and beyond.  Terrific cafes and shops within spitting distance in Huskisson.  Also lots of little paths around the park are good for learners on bikes and trikes.

Truly a gorgeous area. Maybe I should stop referring to it as the ‘spider park’. ‘White sands’ sounds less scary for the kids!

Hello! We always call it the ‘spider park’. But glad I got the right name for the purposes of this post ! Love that we can cycle there now with all the kids.
