Memorial Park Playground is good for younger children and in a handy spot close to Military Road.
It doesn’t have anything for older children though, they might like to check if there’s any cricket going on at the Alan Border Oval alongside.
Memorial Park Playground Mosman
Cnr Gouldsbury Street and The Crescent Mosman 2088
A large, enclosed playground with plenty of space, there are grassy areas and paved areas which are excellent for bikes and trikes as well as play structures.
Benches around the main play area are much used by resting parents and carers. A shady area has two picnic tables and there is another table under a tree.
This playground is very popular with local mums and can get very busy but is spacious enough to cope with the crowds.
Cafe: Cafe in Gouldsbury Street, near Military Road
Toilets: Not in the playground. The two closest are in Mosman Library and in Library Walk.
Shade: Shade cloth over play equipment. The park has huge, old trees around its perimeter which give some shade too.
Enclosed: Yes, by a low fence
Mum’s report: An easygoing sociable spot. We always take a few extra toys and find that most children (and their parents) are happy to share.
Extra: Close to Mosman Library and Military Road shops. A toyshop is also close by on Military Road. Also not too far from gorgeous Balmoral Beach.
Parking: Street parking on Gouldsbury Street and The Crescent
Bus stop nearby: Yes, on Military Road
Memorial Park playground isn’t the best playground in Mosman, but it’s very handy when shopping and for toddlers. For more elaborate playgrounds in Mosman on Sydney’s North Shore try:
