News – Passiontree Velvet opens at Macquarie Centre

Passiontree Velvet high tea
Decadent delights and teatime treats are a great way for families to celebrate. Also for mums to get together with their girlfriends!

Sydney has a new heavenly high tea experience and to celebrate, we have a lovely  giveaway for readers.

Passiontree Velvet has come south from its Queensand base to open their first Sydney cafe.

English high tea house, Parisian patisserie and Belgian chocolatier, Passiontree Velvet offers a world of edible luxury.

I’m drooling.

Passiontree Velvet specialises in high teas, they offer:

  • Devonshire Cream Tea
  • The Duchess Full High Tea
  • Chocolatiers High Tea
  • The Teddy Bears Picnic

I’d go for the Chocolatiers for sure.

But I bet all the kids would love the Teddy Bear’s Picnic.

That sounds sooo lovely! I’d choose the The Duchess Full High Tea to surprise our eldest son ( aged 18 ) one Saturday afternoon as he’s just started his first full time job. That doesn’t sound like such a big deal but he’s had a rocky path in the Education system as he has multiple learning disorders and disabilities.
High Tea is not usually a teenage male experience but I think a special milestone occasion deserves a very special and memorable treat!

My mum and I have never been to a high tea together as she doesn’t believe in spending money on spoiling herself or doing “frivolous” things – so I would take her and hopefully she’ll want to do more of these things with me. We would choose the Duchess full high tea.

I’d love to win this for a special girly treat with my sister, Mum and cousin and take my little brother aswell. CHOCOLATIERS HIGH TEA would be my choice, as well as tiny teddies for the little ones 🙂

I would take my 4 year old daughter! She starts school next year and this will be a special ‘girly day’ memory for her! I think she would love the Teddy Bears Picnic! And i’d be happy to take some photos for you, she would love that!

I would choose the Duchess High Tea for my business partner who would devour all the goodies served. He would not have experienced a high tea so it would be such a fun experience, although, he is from London! We live close to Macquarie Centre too!

    What a wonderful giveaway!

I’d choose the Teddy Bears Picnic. I have 3.5 year old twin girls and work full time so this would be a special outing for us to spend some time together with their favourite toy – whatever that might be, it changes every week at the moment!

They all look delicious! I would leave the children at home and spoil some of my friends who are all mums. We never get to go out alone (without seven children – six boys and one girl – ranging from age four to ten) and this looks like a divine decadent treat. I would choose the full Duchess.

I’d love to take my daughters to a devonshire cream tea. This is something we used to do when they were little but life is so busy these days and we haven’t done it for years. I hadn’t realised we had this in the Macquarie Centre, what a great place to have so close to home. Thanks for letting us know about this Seana xx

Passiontree Velvet sounds like such an amazing place. I am an American living here in Australia and have never experienced a High Tea. I am flying my mother out for a visit and would love to take her and my two daughters for a girls afternoon so we can all experience our first High Tea together. Being new to this, I’ve already explored their website and I think the Duchess Full High Tea sounds like a great introduction!

  • This looks delightful – do you think you can have a word with them to open one in Perth?

I’d take my friend Amanda with me, we’d need to go on a weekend when the Dads can be at home to look after the children. Amanda is a super friend to me, she has a daughter with special needs so she works very hard at home to care for her and her younger brother. She really deserves a special afternoon out and some yummy time. Without the kids around we could even have a completed conversation!

I think the The Duchess Full High Tea would be a fitting treat.

  • Yum!! The size of the pastries / sandwiches look just right and I Love how they combine the 3 elements of Parisian, Belgian and English!

  • Too late for me to enter but good luck to everyone! I would definitely have taken my wonderful husband whose been so incredibly supportive through my recent health issues. He definitely deserves it maybe I should take him anyway!
