Sutherland Leisure Centre is a vast and vibrant centre that has lots for adults and children. Those lucky enough to live close by could do something different every day of the week in this leisure centre.
The indoor family fun pool is huge and has beach areas, bubble jets, sections for lessons, laps and squad training, a family spa area, a towering mushroom and even palm trees.
The baby wading pool has a rocky waterfall theme and is surrounded by palm trees. A huge green frog sits atop of the waterfall spouting a fountain, to the great joy of the littlies.
There is masses of space around the pool for prams, and in hot weather the doors can be opened to let in a breeze. The spa and steam room are for adults only, enclosed by a fence so small children cannot stumble in. The outdoor pools are surrounded by lush lawns and have some shade.
Cafe: Cafe serves breakfasts, hot meals and snacks. It has indoor and outdoor seating and a few highchairs.

Mum’s report: Just great, there is so much here to entertain the kids. The family spa area is our favourite spot. It looks fun here as well with all the big sharks and fish suspended from the ceilings.
Extra: Many activities and services are available in the leisure centre. The Camellia Gardens are a drive away and are very beautiful, have a lovely playground and a tea house too.
Parking: Free carpark
Nearest station: Sutherland and Loftus are both about one kilometre away
The photos here are from the website, we must get there to take our own one day as we couldn’t find the ones we took when first visited.
