Just four hours away from Sydney, Orange is a bit of a food and wine lovers’ paradise.  And for those who love cafe culture, Orange has it by the mugful.

I’ve visited at least a dozen delightful eateries in Orange, and still have many to explore.

But for today, here’s my list of the cafes that offer free wifi… because that’s what I have needed the most when I’ve been spending time here.

At the bottom I list other faves that don’t offer wifi… hopefully they might one day.

You can have an hour of wifi at a time at this lovely family-friendly cafe which has a garden with veggie patch and farm animals, plus lots of kids toys.

Byng Street Local Store

47 Byng St, Orange NSW 2800

Free wifi but they do ask you do check in on Facebook when you log in – fair enough. This is a modern and spacious cafe with an outside seating area. Can get very busy and is a bit noisy.

Wifi available for customers, just ask for password. This is a cafe and art studio, with warm interiors and lovely staff.

Scrumptious On Summer

142 – 146 Summer Street, Orange

Offering 30 minutes a day of free wifi, also close to the Telstra Air wifi hotspot.  This is my favourite Orange cafes of all. It’s quirky, has an excellent menu with lots of healthy options and the staff are good fun.

Village Bakehouse

Village Bakehouse website here

At the east end of the centre of Orange, this is a large cafe with the bakery within, you can see the bakers at work.  there are coffees, fresh juices and all sorts of baked delights and light meals. Nice spot.  Times wifi available.

The Sugar Mill

1/86 Summer St, Orange

Sugar Mill Facebook page

The Sugar Mill is in the Summer Centre shops, alongside the IGA, you can park right outside in the car park. This is the Orange offshoot of Millthorpe’s famous Old Mill Cafe and has the same range of scrumptious cakes, pastries and light meals. Wifi is available for customers, just ask for the password.

Just stopped by The Sugar Mill for coffee and asked about wifi and they said they don’t have wifi. Maybe they used to have it but not now unfortunately.

Oh that’s so disappointing, they did when I was there a couple of times last year. Will take them out. Thanks for letting me know. Great cakes though!
