What a lovely spot in central Sydney! Victoria Park Pool is great for parents all year round as there’s a creche, but the kids’ pool is only open in summer.

Children’s wading pool closes in winter. In 2017 it is closed 1 May – 31 August.
Pools: Outdoors – 50 metre pool, children’s wading pool
This outdoor swimming pool, set in the centre of beautiful Victoria Park, offers excellent facilities. For children it is a summertime pool only, as their wading pool is closed in winter and only the hardiest littlies would want to brave the heated outdoor pool in winter.
For parents and carers it can be a year-round pool—the creche and the facilities in and around the pool make it a good trip for the kids even if they do not have a swim themselves.
Cafe: Full cafe menu including cooked breakfast, pizza, toasted Turkish bread, burgers and a children’s menu. The cafe has indoor and outdoor seating.

Shade: The baby pool is covered by a large shadecloth, which extends to the seating alongside and the outdoor eating area in front of the cafe

Mum’s report: You could easily occupy many hours here with a swim, perhaps the children could spend some time in the creche while mum has a swim or uses the gym. Lunch in the cafe, time at the playground, plus feeding the ducks. All of this in the heart of Sydney—fabulous!
Extra: Victoria Park is lovely, with its huge areas of grass, lots of trees and the duck ponds.
Parking: Limited free 2-hour parking is available in the carpark (enter from the park side of City Road only). Otherwise the Broadway Shopping Centre across Broadway offers three hours free parking. The Secure Parking Station is behind the Seymour Theatre Centre, entrance on Shepherd Street.
