Coogee Beach

Coogee is a beautiful, wide beach with a golden crescent of sand and a wide promenade skirting the reserve. The beach is well known for its surf but has plenty to offer the families. Locals say Coogee usually has less surf than Maroubra, Tamarama and Bronte.

There is easy stroller access to the lower promenade past the first aid post and beach inspectors’ office. There are shaded seating areas on the lower promenade and strollers can be parked there.

The lower promenade continues along to the surf-lifesaving club and the ocean pool which has a separate toddler splash area with a little patch of beach. Here the water is flat and safe for children most days.
