Tucked away in lovely Westleigh, Ruddock Park is a great place for the whole family to enjoy.
With a brilliant pirate themed play area, tennis courts, bike paths, BBQs, shaded picnic tables and a large oval it is the perfect place for a group gathering. There is something to do for everyone and plenty of space to spread out.
The pirate themed play area has everything you’d want from a pirate ship, a bouncy plank to walk, rigging to climb, bridges to cross, ships wheels to turn, telescopes to peer through, little nooks and crannies to hide in and slides to make your escape!!
Both my two and three years olds had a lovely time pretending to sail the high seas, it really seemed to capture their imagination as well as tire them out physically.
There is a roundabout, swings and a few other small rockers and such separate to the pirate ship as well.
Part of the park is a fenced, off the lead area for dogs and there is a walking circuit a safe distance from the road so it is perfect for those with fur babies as well as kids.
Toilets/Baby change: There is a toilet block but no baby change
Nearest takeaway coffee: BYO
Enclosed: No but away from the road
Shade: Yes over the picnic tables but not over the play area
Parking: Yes, lots of street parking
Mum’s report: A great play area for young children with plenty of room in the park for older children and adults to entertain themselves
Extra: Off the lead dog park, sports oval, tennis courts and bike paths
