One of the most gorgeous ‘secret’ spots in Sydney is the beach and glorious rock pool at North Curl Curl.
This is the beach looking south from the Surf Life Saving Club.
Here’s my arty shot of the rock pool.
You can park near the Surf Life Saving Club and then walk around it and down the steps to the beach.
There’s a narrow section to walk through.
Now, I tend to walk along the beach and scramble over the rocks to get to the rock pool. Gets hard when the tide is up.
But there’s also a path which leads from the car park along to the pool.
North Curl Curl has good space for swimming laps, but there are shallower areas and lots of fish to look at. Great for kids to learn to snorkel in.
I used the macro setting on the Olympus Tough we have to get this shot.
This warning sign near the pool, and I have indeed seen a blue-ringed octopus in the rock pool – never touch them!!
There’s heaps of space to play, it’s a place you could stay all day.
