I cannot tell a lie, the highlight of my stay at Pemberley Grange was meeting these three little guys.
They’re miniature donkeys, and yes they are young but fully grown at this cute size.
Sweet!
I stayed at Pemberley Grange (which used to be known as Fergusons) for two nights recently and loved the sense of being right in the heart of the countryside, far from urban sprawl and cares.
Each self-contained suite has a king bed, seating area and private terrace with views over the local vineyards. Two of the suites have spa baths. Each suite has a small kitchen, with fridge, microwave and a two hot plate cook top. Very handy.
Pemberley Grange is a great option for groups, 12 people can be accommodated in the six suites.
It’s not an ideal location for young children however, since there is a dam on the property, alongside the BBQ and viewing platform.
I do appreciate a lot of space in a bathroom, and the wee kitchen area was handy too.
Even since I’ve been back in Sydney, I’ve been missing that fresh country air.
Sigh……

I stayed as a guest at Pemberley Grange. Thanks you very much to my lovely hosts, your hospitality was much appreciated.
That BBQ area looks lovely…and I’d really love that alfresco dinner. How special would that be?!
And food always tastes better when eaten in the fresh air, and the air is soooo fresh out there in the countryside.
Oooh that looks divine – perfect escape for a few days xx
I am dying to take the kids. I didn’t visit the llama farm when I was there, one can stay there too and we might look at that. My twinnies would love a visit.
That outdoor dining area looks gorgeous! Could definitely see myself there!
Me too, I didn’t sit down there at all, was too busy dashing about with a tripod. Next time.
What a very pretty place. I love that you have hills to look out on 😉 Those diddly donkeys would have stolen my heart too 🙂
They are very cute, and I am so wishing that I could find the closer up shots I took of their faces and furry ears… where are those photos?? It’s fun to meet new animals and I’d never heard of miniature donkeys before.
What a gorgeous place!
I love the setting and the atmosphere, being in “wine country” is a plus too 😉
I don’t think I’ve ever seen miniature donkeys! How cute are they?!
And your room! Looks pretty cosy and divine to me.
It looks superb and I think those donkeys would be the highlight of my daughters trip as well.
