Here’s a breakfast in a glass that will get you up and running in the morning.
And who doesn’t appreciate the chance to start the day with chocolate?
I came up with this heart-starter smoothie after being sent the most beautiful coffee cups by Nespresso. They’d been designed to match the coffee capsules – so elegant.
Nespresso had just relaunched their Fortissio Lungo, the green capsule above; it’s a bit stronger than before and I used one of these when making this Thermomix smoothie.
- 200ml milk of your choice (I used Aldi organic soy milk)
- 50g (I tbs) plain yoghurt
- 15g (1 tbs) cacao
- 1 Nespresso lungo coffee (or your favourite coffee)
- Blend!
- In the Thermox, I do 30 seconds at speed 6, or a bit longer. I do love the frothy smoothies the Thermomix makes

I often make Thermomix smoothies as I really love the almost foamy texture that I get when I blend them for a good while. I know you can use a stick blender, but I do prefer the Thermie.

I did enjoy messing about taking these photos too.
What’s your fave get-going breakfast?
Does the coffee and cacao combination appeal?

Gee that looks delicious. I think you could have that hot or cold. Lots of protein and a bit of caffeine to get you going. No wonder you feel like exercising.
