If your little ones are train enthusiasts, then you will win a lot of smiles taking them to this playground, commonly known as the Beecroft Train Park.
Beecroft Railway Station Gardens Playground

This is a very popular playground with local families and excellent for any kids who love trains. And the good news for parents is that it is fenced and there are plenty of yummy cafes nearby.
The playground is positioned right next to the train station and there is a gorgeous train-themed mosaic wall, complete with windows, that the kids can watch the trains through.
My Mr 3 and Mr 2 particularly love watching the big freight trains passing by and are often found with their faces pressed against the playground fence.
There is plenty to keep the little ones entertained in this playground, with a great train themed climbing play gym, swings, merry go-round and rockers.
We can easily spend one to two hours here and almost always include a visit to the kid friendly Chicken and Fishhead Café across the road.
Along most of the inside of the fence there is stone seating, giving parents a number of vantage points to watch their kids from. There are also some picnic tables and seats outside of the playground but still within the park.
With no shade from the morning sun, the playground is perfect on a winter, spring or autumn morning but best left for the afternoon on a hot summer’s day.
Toilets/Baby change: There are toilets and a baby change table in the Beecroft shopping arcade right near the playground on Hannah Street.
Nearest takeaway coffee: There at least three cafes within a very short, easy walk from the playground. Chicken and Fishhead is across the road, south of the playground, Beehive is in Beecroft Village and Long Shot, plus a few others, are in the Beecroft Shopping Arcade.
Enclosed: Yes
Shade: No
Mum’s report: It is no wonder this is a popular playground and a great place to meet for a play date with other families. It is fenced, right near Beecroft Village with all its lovely cafe and shops (including a great children’s bookstore) and has a nice range of play equipment for toddlers and preschoolers.
Nearest station: Beecroft station. Keep in mind that this station doesn’t currently have a lift.
Bus stop nearby: Yes

Great info on the park – we love it being locals we are there almost daily. Re train station and lack of lift, most station masters at Beecroft will assist parents with a pram if the child is not asleep and you can remove the child, allowing you to carry the child and them to carry the pram down. if the child is asleep it is against their WHS, but members of the public are often around to assist.
Great local info – thanks so much for letting us know. Much appreciated! Hope you and the family have a good weekend.
